The Blogging Phenom

Blogging has become a common thing among not only young adults and teenagers but leaders like Tun Dr. Mahathir and the elderly. More than 133 000 000 people have been accounted for by Technorati since 2002 (Bradley, P. 2010). The word blog actually came from the "Web log" and "was further promoted by pyra.com as a Blog at its www.blogger.com site" (Dvorak, J. 2002). So now we know web logs as Blogs and the people who blog are called Bloggers. There are many different sites for blogs like Blogspot, Wordpress and so on. All have the same purpose which are basically, to blog on but with a different style or theme. "Blogging goes beyond software posting" (Dvorak, J. 2002), it is more of a form of communication between other bloggers as well as it is a way to reach out to the public and voicing out your opinions.

My target audiences are basically teenagers who are curious and have questions on the blogging phenomenon. I hope by blogging about this phenomenon many other people are able to obtain the new knowledge about blogging just as I have.
