A blogging community as we know is an online group of people who connect with each other through the usage of the internet or blogs. But what we do not know is that these online bloggers do have regular meet ups to share their interests on blogs or just to have fun. A blogging community can be established just by going to other blogs and reading their posts on their blog (Nikki, n.d). This helps to establish a new found ability of knowing what you may be interested in and you may come across a blog that shares similar interests with your blog. This then helps connect two people into making a new community of shared interest.
Leaving a comment on others blogs also helps connect one another as they are able to talk about common interest and sharing their knowledge. It creates a connection between bloggers. Replying comments posted on your blog also helps in creating a community as well. It shows that you are interested in your readers comments and it creates an interest between reader and blogger.
There are currently many types of blogging communities. A local blog community is one called Lowyat.net. It is quite well known in Malaysia as it caters to the needs of people who are searching for a certain product, intend to sell a certain product or even trading. There are many others that cover not only basic products but more specific things like car parts, watches, cellphones and musical equipment.
All these blog communities help connect people through the internet by catering to the needs and wants of their readers and customers.
